Felt each staff member treated me as an individual an not as a diagnosis

The entire staff, doctors, PA's, RN's, technicians, the whole lot was very empathic. They took the time to answer any questions I had. Following my heart cath, the RN's that took care of me were extremely kind and caring, making sure I was ""okay"". They made sure my wife was updated on my progress which I appreciated as I know what its like to sit and wait, not knowing.

Dr Ahmed is great and explains and gives me time to talk and ask questions. Nurses caring and very personable.

Absolutely wonderful experience. The nurse who took me back into the examining room was extremely kind & efficient. Hannah the nurse practitioner was very knowledgeable & kind. Dr. Ahmed was everything I had hoped for & I felt the stress lift from me. I have a very good feeling after this first visit that he will aggressively attack the problem I'm with my heart. I feel blessed to have the excellent care I receive at UAB !

6 years ago I had a severe heart attack. I had better than a 80% chance I wouldn’t survive any type surgery and 100% that with out it I would die. Dr Ahmed installed a Mitraclip on my heart while I was on a ECMO. Before it was approved by the FDA. Now, I live a normal life.

It was a long day but I understand that can happen occasionally. Thank you all for your service.
